no start
Hello All, I have a no start situation with my 1990 XJ. I think it's due to no fuel reaching cylinders. The fuel rail has fuel. I can depress the schrader valve and fuel squirts out and I can hear the fuel pump prime when turning on the switch, but plugs are dry after prolonged cranking. What's up?

If you think you have a fuel problem you need to verify it. You need to find out if you have the correct fuel pressure at the rail with a pressure gauge. Pushing the valve only tells you if fuel in in the rail and nothing more. Your 1990 should have 39psi +or- 5psi. That is if it is a 4.0. You should always put what the engine size is. They are not all the same. Check the pressure and let us know the results and we can go from there.
