hey i just got a 1996 cherokee and the guy that had it had hit a cow. he said he has got all damaged parts fixed or renewed, and even a new stater but he said it would turn over just wouldnt fire. any ideas?

Do a tune up (fresh champion copper plugs gapped to .035, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor). If that doesn't help at all, then I'd look towards the CPS.

Is it an auto or manual. If it is a manual the clutch pedal sensor can go bad, not allowing it to start. Also try turning the key on position then off like if you were listening to radio 5-6 times and then see if it starts. If it is an auto put it in neutral and then try to start it.
