Be aware when you prime an oil pump manually by turning the oil pump you will also be turning the cam and putting it out of sync with the crank.
Good work but I'm curious about the crank/cam relationship.

Any engine I've worked on had the cam directly driven by the crank. So if turning the oil pump turns the cam, why didn't the cam then turn the crank and stay in sync?

Does anyone have a diagram of the 4.0 crank to cam drive?
