1996 Cherokee died on the highway. It cut out a few times then picked back up before cuting out and wont start again. I'm not getting a spark and can't figure out why, everything else seems fine. Any ideas would be great

 

First, are you sure its a spark issue??? If so, start with your coil, make sure its still there and hooked up and no corrosion is present on terminals, pop your distributer cap and check your contacts inside and your rotor button and make sure the tip of the button is still there and not all corroded. Also, check your negitive battery cable and make sure its still grounded well and the cable isnt torn up. We really need more info to help you further. Good Luck!!

All I know is that at first I thought it was a fuel pump and then after a few test, the engine is getting fuel but no spark

 

it could also be your pick up coil in the distributor found that out after money on other parts didn't fix the problem
