I had a radio issue. Replace speaker wire on front driver speaker. Also, had to reconnect wires in head unit. Original Wiring Harness was cutout long ago by PO.

My issue is now the radio plays but no sound. If I disconnect the ground by the hood latch, there is sound (although with a hum and a pop when turned off).

What should I do?

 

Discovered that I had reconnected the ground wrong. On the plastic side instead of the metal. Doah!! Everything works great now.
