Aisin Warner 4...and Dexron III/Mercon.

That is the correct fluid to put in. And his also correct that Chrysler started to recommend the ATF +4, even for the AW4 at some point, which happened after the warranty on the AW4 had expired

My "his" should have been "he's". The person doing his transmission.

Now there you're wrong. Get your world-times app out, the next day has begun here. But I'll help you out:

Your local time now is 08:47 pm Thursday, mine is 10:47 am, Friday. So 14 hours ahead.

And you know I'm to old to be send to bed, father.

I need help please . I bought an 0 3 Jeep Grand Cherokee a few days ago and it has no reverse . Back up lights comes on in reverse posision but does not move . when i put it in park and let off the break, it will surge forward before it stops .also RPMs will not go past 2500 .. I know the tps is bad and am going to get a new one today. But I dont think it has any thing to do with the Tranny problem .any Ideas out there ?

Try starting a new thread over on the GRAND Cherokee forum. The WJ Grands have a different trans than the regular XJ Cherokees.

That said, it sounds like maybe the shifter linkage needs adjusted?
