I just got my first jeep and its nickle amd diming me. First it keot over heating but me and my dad fixed that last week ut now when I turn on my headlights that all I get. I don't have tail lights, guage lights or reverse lights. I checked my fuse panel amd it blew the fuse for parking lights so I reolaced it and tried to turn my lights on and boom blew the fuse instantly. I'm not good with electrical problems so I am in desoerate need of some help here guys. I need to get my lights figured it out before the snow flys because my jeep is gonna be my familys main snow rig. Any help is greatly appreciated

Not sure what year your XJ is, but my '89 had some problems with corrosion in the front signal sockets that caused a similar problems. I replaced them(they were less than $5/ea), problem solved. If nothing else, that's a somewhere for you to start.

When ever you start blowing fuses it is telling you that you have a short in the system. So you are going to have to hint that down. BTW, When ever you post make sure that you put what year and model you have, It will help since the are a few differences in years and models.

Is it equipped with a trailer hitch , the wiring to them is most common spot for rear lighting issues.
