ok, ny new to me 96 cherokee has lighting isues and i thought i would ask if it has ever happened to anyone else. ok here is what it is and isnt doing. when you go to turn the headlights on you get the rear running lights, nothing at all on the front, but the dash lights all up(turn signal indicators, high beam indicator along with every thing else in the contol painel) so i checked fuses nope all good, so now im guessing short in the wiring but wondered about the head light switch or the multi funtion switch( turn signals wipers ect) being bad. any thoughts or previous experence? thanks

 

ok here is a list of some more stuff i did/tried. i checked the ground on the pass side of the block (tight and clean) i did find a ground wire by the fuse box that was green so i relaced it, i took the coulum apart and disconected the multi funtion switch, none of those fixed it. i am going to take the dash apart tommrow its getting too dark now, but any ideas or sugustions or help is greatly apricated thanks again

 

well i think i found my problem, i decided to spent the last bit of daylight to start changing a bad power steering hose. my hands were too big to get in there easaly so i pulled the air filter box. i just happen to look at the plug for the headlights thats almost under the box, and all i saw was green. so should i get new ends for both harnesses or just sotter and heat shrink them hard wiring it together?
