Default No key start

installed new Nss switch still no start, but at least have backup lights now. Was able to start it with screwdriver on starter, but it will not start with the key. Does this narrow it down to ignition switch or are there other things it can be.

Sorry,98 Cherokee,4.0, auto, new Nss as mentioned but still no key start. I turn the key with test light on ignition wire at starter and light does not come on. It will start with screwdriver on starter and I have backup lights now. But still no key start. Dash lights come on and fuel pump runs but no starter turning. Thanks again.

It sounds like the vehicle would not start before you replaced the NSS? What symptoms were you having that required replacement of the NSS? Make sure you properly adjust the NSS. http://www.cherokee-jeep.com/1-2swremov.htm Second. Find your output wire on the ignition switch and test it as you turn the key.
