First, I want to thank all those who read and/or have replied to my previous posts. HUGE help and you folks have been spot on everytime.

So here's my latest and greatest issue

I replaced my catalytic converter (as suggested)
also through on a fan clutch

Took the jeep on a test run and to my surprise...it was running the BEST it has ran in a LONG time! During the run, I stopped for gas. I get ready to go....

tick tick tick... nothing... tick tick tick.... (no engine spin)

I just replaced the old mean grean starter with another one...
but this new one sounds the SAME way the old one did when it failed.

I was soo happy she was running, and LIKE A CHAMP... then this....

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

If you are getting a "click" when you turn the key, but the engine doesn't turn over, and with a new starter, the most likely suspects are either a bad battery connection or a bad battery.

Remove battery cables. Clean them until shiny and reattach. Freshen engine grounds

If the above doesn't resolve your issue, take your battery into a parts store and ask them to LOAD TEST it. Load testing is the only conclusive way of determining battery condition.

The battery is an optima fairly new

i do have "splice" and screw connectors

i brushed the body ground, is there any others that might effect it?

I have had an intermittent problem simular to this before but it is maybe once year-ish
