i have no heat! i have a 2000 and is there any write up on checking the blend door or flushing the heater core.?

 

Does the Jeep come up to tempture?... or is it slow coming up to temperture?.... Your thermostat might have failed in the open postion?... Is your coolant system full of coolant? When was the last time you serviced your coolant system?

 

i checked everything last week. my blend door was stuck so i just took it apart and now i acyauly have heat thanks.

Not sure, but I think the blend-air door actuator is cable operated on the '98 XJ. Here's a page from the CCKen Great Book of Knowledge that shows the location of the 99-01 XJ actuator. It's electric but it should be located in the same place on the '98. Position yourself in the passenger footwell so you can see the bottom of the actuator and operate the heat control. If the actuator is intact, you should see the intermediate drive shaft moving when the heat control is operated. You won't be able to see if the door is moving however.
