Default NO HEADLIGHTS!!

hey everyone...well to start off i have a 1997 cherokee country. my headlights randomly quit working one day (both low and high beams). the highbeam light wont turn on the dash either. i first checked all the fuses and relays and everything checked out ok, after that i took out the bulbs and wired them up to a 12 volt source and they both work too...after that i replaced the headlight switch and still no lights...i pulled out the airbox and unpluged the connecter by there and used a testlight and found the two terminals that got power from switch..one has constant power and the other is switched and works too when i pull and push switch on dash...like i said before i have no idea what the heck is goin on im completly stumped any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Headlight switch has a built in circuit breaker that trips if overheating occurs or too much power is being drawn. The breaker cycles so that you don't lose your headlights permanently.

What kind of wattage on your bulbs are you running?
