No gauges.
Hi, sorry if I wrote something unclear, but I'm using chatGPT's translation assistance. Some time ago, I bought a 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. Many things in it don't work and I would like to slowly repair various things myself. (I'll add that the previous owner replaced the onboard computer and added many modifications). Unfortunately, I've encountered a problem that I can't solve myself. The indicators on the dashboard are not working. The turn signal icons and such as the drive indicators work. The oil pressure gauge rises slightly. The onboard computer shows only zero values.
I've read many threads on this topic and unfortunately, I haven't found the cause of my problem. First, I checked all the fuses to see if they were blown. Then I removed the gauges and cleaned the contacts/connectors. It didn't help. Then I checked the voltage at the fuses and here's a clue.
Several of them have no voltage at all or about 0.2V. In the car cabin, the problem is with fuses: 3,6,7,14,16,19,23, and under the hood 15a and 20a in the top row (I couldn't find any numbering). I read somewhere that the cause might be a faulty ignition switch and lack of voltage on the yellow wire. I dismantled the ignition switch and checked the voltage after turning on the ignition - there is voltage. Do you know what else I can check?
Thanks in advance for the help!
