My XJ always started and ran great. I spent a day cutting out the fenders and putting my new 33s on it and now all it does is crank (no I didn't cut through anything I shouldn't have). I have no fuel pressure at the rail and I can not get my test light to light up on any of the wires going in to the fuel pump (while cranking the engine). I tested the ohms on the crankshaft position sensor- all good. Someone please help. I do not know what else to check and I got a big day of wheeling planned tomorrow.
Swapped out all the relays.... still nothing.

Fuel pump relay. check that. I was trimming the fenders on my old waggy and the fuel pump relay shorted out. Never figured out why, all I could think is that the static electricity from the cutting shorted it out. Just a thought.Originally Posted by LeeLee

Thanks for the reply. I got her fixed though! The ground to the fuel pump went faulty somewhere- I ran a new ground and all is good. Thanks again.
