Just fixed my turn signal indicator issue, and thought that cleaning my connector contacts for the front light wiring harness would help. The one under the airbox. No luck! They were muddy and corroded, but gave them a cleaning and used di-elect. grease, but no park lights still. Grounds, fuses, rrelays, power leads are all tested and good. Anything else I missed/can check before I bring it to someone else? 1992 Sport, 4.0, 5 speed.....

 

What led up to these lights not working? It would be best to have DMM (digital multi-meter) to test for power AND ground.

Could be a problem with the light switch too. If you have a FSM that has the wiring diagrams you could trace the wiring to find all the plugs and grounds.

 

Thanks for the response ...realized one night parked in front of a glass window that the lights weren't on....I've already used the Haynes and followed diagrams using a DMM (continuity, power, ground)...replaced switch (headlight) last summer....everything else on switch runs fine, may pull it to test for continuity....hate electrical issues!

 

Do the rear parking lights work, or are they out, too??

 

Yeah...the rears work fine, just my front parking lights under the headlights. I've tried to clean the connectors (male/female) again last night, but lights are still out. I can drive without them, but annoyed that this problem is even there.
