Default No end to belt squeal?

Hi. New here to the forum and have a question . I have a 1990 cherokee limited edition. Have had it for about 2 years. Belt has squealed since I bought it. I've replaced the power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning, fan clutch, pulleys and have put on two new belts, but still have the noise. I have noticed that the belt is riding on the timing chain cover and it's almost half way off the pulley. I put it back in place and tighten everything, but it still goes back to riding there. I'am thinking this is where my squealing is coming from. Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening and why it's happening?

That was my thought too, just not positive. How hard are these to do on jeeps? Thanks for the help.

When you replace the belt, use a bando, or a rough backed Dayco belt. Its the slick surface on the belts that causes them to make noise.
