Unhappy NO!!! electrical accident :(

I was installing a new keyless entry module tonight on my 93 Cherokee like it shows in the instructions in this link. (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=54219)
I was near done the project and the transmitter was working when I was about to electrical tape the wire ends up to be finished when what I believe to be the 12V wire and the Ground wire touched which made my dome light shut off and then my keyless entry would not work! My Electric Locks, Stereo, Dome Lamps and Power Mirrors no longer work. I have checked the Fuse Panel and all seem to be o.k. I also took the new keyless entry module out and wired the wires back to the stock version but that still did not fix the problem. There is 9 wires in the original wiring but I had only spliced the 4 which I needed for the keyless entry and they were the Pink-12 Volt, Black-Ground, Pink with Purple Stripe-Unlock, and Orange with Purple Stripe-Lock. I hope this will not cost me a bundle to fix
Thank you for any help in advance... I appreciate it!

check the OBS fuse in your fuse block under the hood.

always disconnect your battery when installing some wiring

im not really sure, but I had an electrical issue where my domes went out and my radio and other random things, I forget which one it is but just pull each fuse in your fuse block under the hood and examine them well with a flashlight

Are you just splicing the wires back and twisting them and then putting electrical tapenover them?!?! That's a huge NO NO!! get some butt connectors and crimps and crimp the wires man!!! And splice one at a time don't splice them all at the same time then connect them! Bad idea

normally, when you have that many things wrong at once... and you know its electrical. its 99% of the time a fuse. you just have to find it.

Yeah the redneck way isn't always the safest... I might pick up some butt conenctors next time I hit the parts store. I had 2 keys snap in the last 2 weeks and have tried lock de-ice/lube and that didn't work. I went to get a key cut but they were sold out of the key I needed so I thought I might as well install this keyless entry I have sitting around before my last key snaps and I am hooped at work.

Check your fusible links. You may need to check them with a meter. They look just like green wires. They act as a fuse for multiple systems.
