I'm more comfortable with a half door.

^x2 half doors are cool and easy enough with doner doors. This way, a place for speakers, practically doorless and moms happiness are all taken care of.

Ya my dad said that maybe if I tell her my plans for tube doors she would be fine with it. Problem is she's nice enough to pay for insurance and a lot of gas. I think I'm going to start looking at tube doors now and wait till I'm out of school.

An above poster mentioned a 45mph car hitting head on a 45mph car makes 90mph collision. I saw mythbusters say that this is incorrect and that it still only equals a 45mph collision for each person. Not trying to cut you down. Just wanting to spread my "knowledge".lol

I just took a refresher for Auto Extrication a week ago and that episode came up in conversation. There is still some argument about whether or not the math works out. Mythbusters is NOT the final word. Even if it is a bit off, the combination of speed is far more destructive than not.

Ya'll make all the fun you want. Makes my life easier when you don't run doors.

If you're dead when I get there I put you on a monitor, check you HR in three leads, call Med Com, pronounce you dead and head back to the station to do paperwork. Saves me the trouble of a ride to the hospital, exchanging equipment etc.

Saying a doorless XJ is unsafe in a side impact is like saying a convertible is unsafe in a rollover. Its a given, and a risk you must be willing to take when you modify your vehicle.

What about all the CJs, TJs, YJs, Land Rovers, Range Rovers, Dune buggies, yada yada yada. No doors since the war. Yes they have a frame, but YOU still crash into the dash in a front end collision. Make me want to stop driving one? NO. Life is a crap shoot. Live like you want. Just don't purposely be stupid.

I've had mine off since the day I bought it, its just a comfort level. If your comfortable then go with it. If your not and are gonna be worring about it the entire time your driving then thats whats dangerous cause your thinking of that instead of paying attention to driving
