Default No A/C and this Florida Heat is killing me

okay, my 98 jeep is tripping me out. so the A/C doesnt work, it blows, however its all not cold.. I figured it was low and needed a recharge. go to walmart and get a 20.00 kit and try to recharge it r-134a. look up a DIY and hook it up to the low; now the gauge says some crazy psi of like 120. claims mechanical problems. okay the AC clutch appears to be working. can someone please assist me?

I didnt add any after seeing the dial on the gauge was red. so I turn the jeep on and checked the pressure it was still in the red. I didnt want to break anything without consulting with other jeep enthusiasts

Seals are blown internally in compressor.

If you are 100% sure you put it on the low side.
