Default No bus - not the connectors - please help

Hello All, I really need your help, out of ideas. I previously got the NO BUS, CEL, AIRBAG light on issue with intermittent working gauges. I replaced the two connectors behind the gauges, and that worked for 4 months. Its back. Here is what I have tried:
- Pulled dash, cleaned connectors
- Checked all grounds - all very clean
- Checked all fuses, inside and in engine bay
- Bought another gauge cluster off ebay - does exact same thing
- Checked wire plugs under dash (user recommendation) they are tight, bolts are tight
- Cleaned male pins on back of cluster - all super clean
- Tried tightly securing plugs to back of gauges by using shims - no go. Forced plugs to back of dash while not clipped into supporting dash frame to ensure secure fit - nothing.

The gauges typically do not work right when the jeep starts, but after 20 mins all but the speedo and tach work, then the speedo and tach will work on and off.

What else is there?? The jeep is a 2000 cherokee sport, has 186K miles, but is SUPER clean and well taken care of. Owned by an old lady who babied it. Never wheeled. All original.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I am at a complete loss.

It's most likely a short in your 5v line. Take a multimeter and check for 5v at the TPS. If there is none, start removing the following sensors until the 5v comes back. Once it's back you have pinpointed your short

TPS
MAP Sensor
Camshaft position sensor
Crankshaft Sensor
Vehicle Speed sensor.
Oil pressure sensor

Those are all of the sensors that the 5v line runs through. Pull up a wiring diagram for your exact year to verify.

Hi Matthew - Thanks for the tip. I will give it a shot and let you know what I find.

Appreciate it.

I checked voltage at TPS, 5.1v - I pulled the TPS, started and still gettting no bus and wonky gauges. Going to start pulling the other sensors at you mentioned.

If if you can easily call out where to find the sensors I would happily take the assistance - save me some time on the googles.

Thanks again

Possibly in the splice where it goes to the TCM and PCM? Have you tried ohming any wires out for that circuit? Verified all fuses and powers were good going to the cluster?

At splice 238 and 239 is where the airbag module CCD splices in with the gauge CCD to communicate with the pcm. I’d start ohming our wires

Also forgot to mention that a bad module on the CCD network will also do this. Try unplugging your airbag module and see if you gauges start working.
