I do a lot of night wheeling and as far as foward view goes, I'm good. (stock lights, and 4 fog lights.) But when I'm backing up, I can't see crap. I have to open my door and look backwards. And we all know what happens then when your in a mudhole. So i was thinking of cutting out two holes in the rear bumper, and mounting small foglights in the holes, then connecting them to my backup lights. That way when i put it in reverse, they come on. Good idea? Anybody elses got any better ideas?
Thanks for the help!

this would just blind people during normal reversing and the odd wheeling moment.
many i know have them mounted on the rear of their rack and operated by a switch, much like their forward facing off road lights.
this way, when there's someone close behind on the trail, and you don't really need them on, you won't **** anyone off. there only when really needed.
if you mount them in your bumper, they won't work very well when they're under water or covered in mud.
but do it, it's a great mod.

i cut holes in the bumper of a Ranger i had and put fog lights in the holes and it worked out great just make sure you get them close to the bumper so mud and stuff won't get between the lights and the bumper

great idea i did that to an old s10 i had it was great i had them wired up seperate from the reg reverse lights and it was great. when people were riddin my a$$ on the highway i would hit the switch it was great, but id say put em on top above the hatch so you dont knock them off of rocks but id say angle em down so you can see the ground better and wont blind people as bad not to mention go with some small rectangular lights so its got better clearance for branches
