I have just bought a 1995 4.0ltr Limited Cherokee. Hadn't really been looking for one, but got offered two for scrap value - one is actually really good.
The MOT saw it needing one track rod end - and that was it! Sooooo....i am now using it as an everyday work hack. Seems fun so far!

My questions are this:

She makes a loud graunching noise in reverse - as if i had heavy tread off road tyres rubbing on the inner wings (I don't - standard 225/70/15's). ONLY in reverse. Any ideas?

I also noticed today when turning in from a junction, the right hand rear wheel 'skips' for traction, as if the diff was welded up. Are diff failures common?
