Default newbie question

I'm looking at a '94 cherokee, and the t-case shifter says 4x4 parttime 0n it. I've seen some that say full time. I take it to mean that you shouldnt run on dry pavement in 4x4 parttime. Is this correct, also would this setup make a decent mild trail/hunting rig?

yea, dont have in in 4wd at all on pavement and all u would really need to do to make it a good trail and huntin rig is to take the fender flares off and trim the fender wells and throw on some 30x9.5 inch a/t's and get front sway bar disconects to help on the trails a bit,and bed liner the undercarrige and bottom of doors,or the hole thing in bedliner, thats only my opinion, and what i think would be a good setup

Yes and No, you should go over 45 in fourwheele drive anyway. But driving on pavment in 4 wheel drive is fine for very short distances. my 98 has only partime too and i wheel so yes it will be perfect for a hunting/ trail rig

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about a 2" lift and leaving the 235's on it . Is this lift doable for an average guy with good mechanical skills.

if its just a shackle/spacer lift you should have no problems. with an aal lift its a little more complicated. but still doable. you shouldnt have any problems, other than seized bolts, for either type of lift.

Since you guys are so helpful, here is another question. I have noticed that some of the cherokee's around 94, have a slight knock, I have heard this in more than one, whats up with that?
