Newbie Owner-Love to hear your love/hate stories....
As I said before, my hubby and I are newbie Jeep owners to a 99 Cherokee Sport 4wd. What are you love/hate stories for this model?

well thankfully you have a 99 so your at least have cup holders..
you cannot really expect to get great gas mileage unless you have a 4 cyl.
only real complaint with mine is there is no real storage space in the cab other than the center console

The only 2 things I hate about the Cherokee.... no cup holders until 1997 and they discontinued building them completely in 2001.

I love my Cherokee. I love it better than my Durango. I'm frustrated with it right now cause I'm converting it from a 2wd to 4wd and I'm having some problems. But other than that its been a great vehicle and I plan on keeping it a long time.

The 2WD versions were very popular in urban settings for work and delivery use. Most of the time those vehicles would have never used the 4WD if it were included and thus the 2WD version is less complicated and cheaper to produce so AMC built what was in demand. At least that is the story I have heard.

My gas mileage is incredibly ****ty right now, right around 9-10 in the city, but in all fairness its only a 7 mile commute to work and theres about 9 stop lights on the way
