Default Newbee - 98 XJ 60K maintenance

I just became the proud owner of mint 98 XJ limited with 60K. Car used to be ours until 2002 and the in-laws used it very little since then. They did maintain it pretty well, until they suffered the infamous firewall water leak last week, at which point they punted it back to me.

I need to do the 60K maintenance round. Naturally not at the dealer. So I compiled a list of tasks and specific fluids for my mechanic. Please correct me if I am missing something or looking at the wrong stuff...

• Radiator clean and flush - Clycol 12Qt.
• Replace coolant - Hoat coolant (Zerex G05)
• Transfer case oil change - ATF+4 2.5 Pints
• Transmission oil change - Dextron 3 4Qt. + filter?
• Differentials oil change - API GL5 75W-90 2Qt. + gasket
• Engine oil change - Mobile1 10-30
• Replace ignition cables -
• Replace spark plugs -
• Replace air filter -
• Replace engine oil filter - synthetic capable
• Clean fuel injectors
• Replace oil sending unit (breaks at around 60k)
• Rotate tires
• Inspect brakes, brake lines and brake fluid - bleed if needed
• Replace power steering fluid and lubricate steering linkage
• Replace squeaky serpentine belt
• Inspect water pump
• Lubricate drive shafts - NLGI Grade 2

I'll be thankful for any additional tips and/or ideas.. I know this is well over the schedule A list, but there is always something that needs attention...

Thanks.

You've got a good plan there! I would also clean the throttle body. Oh and on the differentials, just use some black RTV instead of gaskets. It'll save you some money

Save yourself some time/energy with cleaning diff gasket/rtv. And pick yourself up lubelocker gaskets.

I actually got Lubelocker gaskets. And I'll tell you, I greatly regret it. They're extremely convenient and reusable. BUT they are $25 or so each... So you'd spend about $50 to do the front and back. On the other hand, you could pick up a tube of RTV for $5 and save yourself a good chunk of money. RTV is actually really easy to use and not messy if you do it right
