Default Newb question.

Howdy folks.
New guy here. I'm no motor-head so I came here.
I have a '98 up country edition xj and she needs new shocks.
I'm not into wheeling or crawling, I just hate snow. So I'm not looking for hard gear. I understand the up country is lifted more than a "non up country"
I'm also, shall we say, financially chalenged.
With all that said, any recommendations?
Thanks.

That one inch shouldn't make a differrence in shocks from up country or not plus your suspension is probably sagging a bit. Really, any shocks you like will be good. They will all be basic white bodies anyway

I have bought Monroe Sensa-Tracs for many years for different vehicles. I have been very satisfied with them.

Actually, it's the front end that's wonky. Does this thing have struts?

No. Either way, any stock replacement shock will work even though yours is up country

Why do you keep posting this in old threads?

I was getting updates on a bunch of threads that had no resolution and died about six months ago...so I say, "It's been six months, what happened?"
