I also would like to hear more from that guy. At least some drive-ability comments or something.

that just seems painful.. And I dont think forcing hot air into an engine is exactly a wise thing to do. Plus, can anyone say back pressure?

You'd be amazed what a properly engineered turbo system can do to an engine. The effects can transform an otherwise lethargic powerplant into something with a power-to-cubic inch ratio more than equal to that of some of the baddest engines that ever came from the factory. Seriously.

And that hot air issue? What about when people eliminate the factory airbox and just add a cone filter sucking in hot engine compartment air?

why would you want to go fast in somthing with the aerodynamics of a barn door, and for most of us, lifted up, with no swaybars connected

ive had mine on two wheels just catching a corner with a 200,000 4.0L

i think the more turbo cherokees we see, the more we will see peopleparting out roll over xj's

props for bein creative tho

turbo cherokees are not new though. i have a friend who has had one for about 5 years. i used to read his build because he had it on e30tech.com in a section for a certain group of member that was not accessible to everyone. he races his in some race like the baja or something.

he used megasquirt to control everything and ran twins, i believe. i'll have to try and raise him on e30tech and verify but i know turbo cherokees are old news.

I guess in all seriousness one could. Maybe it's just the shock of a turbo kit on a Cherokee.. you just wouldnt really expect it. However, I suppose beefing up the HP a little bit wouldn't hurt.

I would think one would benefit especially towing and freeway driving.
