So, right now I'm running Trxus 35 12.5 15s...I'm looking at re shoeing the xj in october. I'm in missouri, do I see mostly loose gravel, sharp climbers, mud and fallen timber. I typically avoid deep mud and water, but I have to consider winter conditions in the midwest. Any success stories, our total failures? I dont want to drop 1300 bucks on crap tires.

Thanks so far, another important factor is that I use it for a DD.

Lovin these kicks! I'm in Florida so sugar sand and mud is about all I get to play in, but these tires perform. I have been through mud up to my kick panels and had no problem. Sugar sand don't slow me down and they are pretty quiet on the road and handle great.

im really impressed. I heard nothing but great things about the people at treadwright and their customer service is an A+ in my book. But i have the 30x10.5 MT's. only had em for about 2 months, i plan on writing a full review when they wear out. but i got all 5 for 534 shipped to my door. Loud as hell though.

I was thinking about ordering the 31x10.50 AT they have. Good to know. Do they seem like a new tire? Or are they a viable retread

My brother and I swear by the KM2's. Best tire i've ever owned hands down. I'v seen everything from mud to loose wet rock, dirt you name it and they've performed great.

you can see the retread. but the tread is new. you still get 16/32's like most other tires. i have about 2500 miles on em and the have a little under 15/32's now. ofcourse if an mt tire will wear faster than an a/t. but i work in a shop so i rotate every time my jeep is on the lift. kinda funny though, mine say firestone destination LE on em but the are aggressive as hell haha.

its really only cheap because its retread. you would never get away with selling retreads at the same price of new ko's or mtrs. i like em so far, and if i can get 30k+ outta them, i would buy again.

I lived in Stockton,Mo until last march so I know what your condition are in Rolla. For where you live and what your doing I would recommend goodyear duratracs. We had duratracs on the wrangler, general grabber at2 on the Grand cherokee, I like it better than the bfg a/t, and swampers on the xj. My avatar is on my road in Stockon when we had the blizzard in feb 2011.

Just took a look at treadwright.com. Largest you can get is a 33/12.5/15 and they are discontinued...my current thought process is keep my best two trxus' and get two new km2s. I really like the size and crawling abilities of a 35, though I could run a 38 if I had the cash for 5 new shoes
