Default new starter, tested nss, need help troubleshooting ignition

Had a thread a couple days back. Jeep will start with keys in the on position and a screwdriver on the starter terminals.

I can't find any details on the ignition system to save my life. Does anyone have any resources to troubleshoot the ignition switch?

Dash lights come on, turn the key and the gauges cycle but no click from the brand new starter

There is a small post on the center of the starter solenoid, between the two large posts. You need to check for voltage on that small post while somebody else turns the key.

please note--I'm not asking you to take the starter to Autozone for testing. I'm asking if you get voltage on that post.

Post back here with your results.
