Default new starter fail again

worked all week. batt read same, 12,6,got clicks,no crank.
instead of "screwdriver jump" i used cables, got 14 volts, zoom it cranked right now.
it often does that with 12,6 v.
i think the starter is stickey,,,going to pull it for new.
tired of wondering.

go over all the connections and make sure they are clean and tight, check and clean all the grounds, sounds more like a connection problem than a starter

a friend, very good in electronics, says he took apart relays and cleaned contacts,,,not me!!
