new serpentine belt
I put a belt on from autozone and it squeals when I start it or rev it up. Do I tighten it? Loosen it? I've tried both and it doesn't change a thing?

sounds like it is loose. if you turn the steering wheel and it squeals, its loose. slipping under load. should be pretty tight.

Tighten it. The belt on the 4.0 needs to be awfully darn snug to stay quiet. I have had to retighten every belt I've installed on my 99 after driving it for a bit (they stretch a little).
