I need to get some new seats for my 87 and might have a solution for one. My driver's seat has the expected side sag so it needs to go.
My solution is coming in the form of the drivers seat out of my 2013 Wrangler Unlimited.
The unlimited had a tear in the seat seam straight from facotory so it's getting replaced for free. I'm going to ask the stealership if they plan to junk the seat and if so would they mind saving me from hopping in a dumpster.
Has anyone modified a mount to make one of these fit?

Don't be surprised if all they send is the seat cover to replace yours. I had a service person with a screwdriver in his back pocket sit down in the drivers seat of my new Lincoln Town Car. It was an Ivory color Leather 6 way seat with heating and cooling/power lumbar.
When the dealership called me to come in to replace the seat I had to leave the car because all they had received was the leather cover. I left the car and went back 2 days later to pick it up when I saw it the seat and the separate headrest didn't match colors properly. The service manager told me it cost them $275 to have the cover replaced at a shop.
In the end they did send a complete seat/headrest seat ready to bolt in, it was very close but not the exact same as the rest of the car.
You could do as I did with my seat and headliner in my XJ take it to a upholstery shop and have the seat rebuilt mine looks great inside now.

The problem is that the seat's metal pan cracked so it sags to the left... The fabric is pretty trashed too.
The dealership service department guy said he thought they were sending the whole new seat, so we shall see.

Go grab a cushion from the passenger side of an XJ in the JY. Install it on your seat and use your upholstery. Super easy.
