The new Rough Country long-arm 4.5" kit comments?
I'm considering buying the kit. It will cost me about $2000 (kit + shipping + taxes), so I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Anyone installed this kit? Any comments? Any weak spots? How do the shocks perform? Are they stiff enough for a 60MPH fast offroad drive? Thanks in advance guys!

I am waiting for reviews on this kit as well since I am looking to buy the 6.5" LA. There hasn't been many reviews yet since the kit is so new. You may want to keep an eye on this thread. There is one review on there already and a few others that are in the install process.

The thing I want to know is how are you coming up with a 2000 dollar price tag? The kit right off of Rough Country's site is 1,100 bucks and I got a 86.00 shipping quote for my 6.5" kit. I didn't figure out taxes but they cant be that much lol

Buy Claytons. They have been tested and proven. I had a buddy buy RC long arm upgrade and returned it because the mounts on the cross member hung to low for his liking. He returned it before I saw it but he did buy a Claytons after his issue.
Lets see...so far the follow parts have failed on my kit in 4 months, 2 trips wheeling
johhny joints
leaf springs (main leaf eye opens up and slides on bushing. the replacement pack they sent me did the same thing)
coil spring bent
shock broke in half
drop pitman arm (splines were slightly larger in diameter, let the arm slop around on the steering box)
Theres probably more im forgetting..
The stickers are holding up great though!!!
Seriously, instead of buying this, then replacing with better stuff after, just buy a nice lift the first time.

X2 on the Clayton kit. They are by far the best company out there. I'm getting they're long arm package for my zj. Yes Clayton is a bit pricey, however that's money down the road you won't have to spend on busted cheap parts.
