So I ordered a easy install radio from Quadratec for my '92:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/96082_0000.htm
With the easy install kit everything hooked up perfectly from the ground strap to the antenna to the factory plug. After I hook everything up and trying turning it on, nothing. I've hooked it up with the ground wire attached, not attached, check fuses, grounds, etc. and still nothing. The old factory radio that doesn't save time or presets does work however.
Am I missing something or did I just end up with a defective radio>

My first radio was that model. What brand of quick connect did you use. I used Scosche and if I remember one or two of the wire colors were backwards.

I used their pre made harness so all I would have had to was plug everything in and go. But I plug it and nothing, even checked the radio and it's fine. But for some reason it will not come on plugged up.
I am guessing the reason your old factory radio didn't store time or presets is because there is an issue with the constant power wire. I'm guessing that it's not providing a continuous 12v to your radio. Some radios will still power up when they receive 12v from the accessory, others won't. Check (with a multi-meter) that you have a constant supply of +12v on at least one of the wires in your harness and then make sure it's the correct wire.
