You could try a MAP sensor.

Nah. There's a test somewhere that can be done with a meter.

I had alot of these idle and shutdown problem with my "90 Laredo and changing the fuel injectors really helped. If you haven't tried that yet Ask cruiser54 for any test advice. Changing them wasn't too difficult, the hardest part was getting them seated good during replacement. Also if you haven't figured it out yet, if you get your parts from most of these stores like Advance Auto, etc. order your parts online then pick up at the store and you can have some great savings. There's lots of discount codes out there.

Swayd, You never posted the output voltage of C terminal (at idle position) on your TPS. I am courious as to what it is. The setting has a lot to due with the fuel/air ratio. Some times a lean motor will surge. It wouldn't take long to try a higher voltage setting with the map hooked up to the vacuum. Just a thought. You may have a vacuum leak somewhere else and thus leaning your mixture.

The output voltage for the flat connector was .05 and I adjusted it to 1.17 and the square connector was 3.4 and I adjusted it to 4.5 as per the reference voltages.
I strongly believe it is an air to fuel ratio issue as right now I have the vacuum hose that goes in to the throttle body disconnected and the jeep is running fantastic. I know I am completely bypassing the MAP but I need a temp fix to get to work and home.

Checked out MAP and voltage read 4.8 volts for "B" but did not drop down to 1.5-2.1 with the engine in idle in neutral. Maybe the engine was not hot enough.
The "C" connector was a steady 5.08 volts. So it doesn't look like an MAP sensor :/

A high vacuum condition, such as at idle, should pull the map's output voltage down to the 1.5-2.1 range. Were you able to test with the vacuum connected?

I was not able to do so. I blanked out and tested it with the vacuum line off so that will be done today sometime. Thanks!

Finally got around to cleaning the throttle body and IAC and bamm the battle wagon runs great! I took it for a spin and 20 miles later not a problem to be had. Of course time will tell but for now it looks like it was just a dirty IAC. Hopefully I can get some decent gas mileage now instead of 8-9 mpg freeway!!!!

Don't get your hopes up. Those things don't affect mileage really.

I was driving it with a the vacuum hose that connects to the throttle body disconnected because it wasn't getting enough air. I remember before I disconnected that hose it got at least 11 mpg haha

That makes no sense at all.
