So after searching on here and Naxja but coming to no conclusion I have resulted in asking. I found a 1993 jeep cherokee on CL for 1500 about 143k on it 3 inch lift 32's about 60% pretty clean in and out, all it needs is a muffler (hole) and an upper D side door hinge fix. Aside from that the biggest problem it has is the t case wont stay in gear. It will if you hold it there it will. I've looked and everything seems tight, all is where it should be. I honestly don't know what else to try and was hopin you guys could help. Any ideas?

A new linkage kit is available from the stealership.
It may be the t-case shift fork is bent/worn which will require internal work.
I have had both issues with my case.
Neither of these means the t-case is junk.
