I haven't gone to look at it yet but for what i know is it is street legal, tagged and inspected with 187000 original miles.

I'm looking to buy a XJ for daily driving and also some off roading.

is it worth the money if i can haggle him down a bit?

 

IMO, yes it'd be worth it. Its already got a Dana 44 rear, which is a big plus and the lift helps out too. I'd talk him down some since its older and has higher mileage.

If you can deal with the owner at $2,000 then I think its going to be a nice buy...

 

Spend no more than $200 for it. Its old. If he was going to make it into a trail rig, don't expect it to be in great condition.

 

this is true. even $1500 would be on the high end of things. People lift their rigs and thing they are worth gold
