Couple things to try. I am impressed with what you have done so far by the way.
First pull the airfilter out and leave it out until you get this problem solved. Second unhook the catalytic converter from the exhaust to eliminate it as a suspect.
See if those two things make a difference. Last check all the sensor readings and adjustments(if adjustable) by using lunghd's numbers. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...iagnostics.htm
This last you can leave until you do the first two things to see if they solve your problem.
Purchase a fuel pressure gauge ($15) and hook it up on your fuel rail. See what pressure you have as it is dying. This may lead us in a different direction.
Post up your results and we will go from there. Don't give up we will solve this.

Thank you Blue, and Anthony, I am going to disco the cat today. Not sure why a compression test would tell anything 93?

OMG

this sounds exactly like a CPS issue...

I have seen only one mention of it.

Unplug it and plug it back together. If that doesn't work replace it.

The CPS connector is located at the back of your valve cover on the driver's side.

here is a pic for reference. THis could have saved you 200 bucks

CPS symtons... there are a lot but here are a few

No start or slow start

Start then die

rough idle

hicc-ups while driving

There could be ONe of these some of these none of these there are so many things that the CPS can cause that it should be the first thing checked everytime you experience the faults you are talking about.

Just a thought mine idle really bad because i had low compression on cylinder 1. Didnt have any blow by either. It didnt like to start either. If its bad enough if could cause some of the symtoms

Didn't you just give someone the third degree for not having a cat?

Is it running rich on all six cylinders or just one or two? You may have a bad injector.

First thing I would check is:
1. fuel pressure(30psi with the regulator connected @38-40 psi with vacuum line disconnected)
2. TPS adjustment through a scan tool that reads from the ECM
3. crank signal at the ecm
4. compression if any cylinder is low a leak down test may need to be performed

If you need any further help email me at nitrorob_12@yahoo.com I'm a Jeep dealership tech and have worked alot with Renix systems in the past.

Disconnecting the cat for diagnosis purposes only.
A clogged cat can hinder the process.
