It turns over like it should but it takes about 5 or more seconds to fire, and it idles funny at first, like it's struggling if that makes sense

Mine fires up like an old fart too, occasionally it will die out at first. But once it's running she runs good. Don't quite understand it

The battery was made in 2011 and it's a rural king battery, I hear ya, I'm gonna check the throttle body over the weekend and see if it helps it any

No need to replace it. Just keep an eye on it if you over heat. Just maintain your cooling system along with everything else and you shouldn't have a problem.
