Greetings gang. OK, I am an old duffer that ain’t much on the new times. I come from the old set of folks that don’t know much about this new computer car stuff. My question is as follows. I was told my alt. was not working right. Car jumps around, dies etc. I changed the alt. and it runs great except that now when I turn on the headlights and or the parking lights, the car runs fine for a while then the amp gauge goes off. Still runs and seems ok. I kill the engine and it runs good and alt is operating again. Ou oh, off it goes again. This has me puzzled? I would like to fix this problem before I get to the next one.
