New heater contrl valve leak?

Default New heater contrl valve leak?

I just put a new. Heater control valve in and it leaks when you start it after it hasnt run in a while but then it just stops when it runs for about 2 min. It comes out the silver arm part that pushes the diapham thingy.. Any suggestions? I just had a radiator flush done too

Get longer heater hoses and eliminate the valve....that's what the factory did '97 up.

Oh, didnt know that! Anybody have any pics on how this setup works? This plastic piece of junk is worthless...

how is the heat controlled on a '97 and up model? Is there not some blender valve in the routing somewhere?

I believe more or less heat is controlled by more or less cool/cold air flowing across the heater core. Coolant flow thru the heater core is constant.

.... kinda like the control valve. If I blow my heater core I can just turn it off.
