So I just installed a new bosch fuel pump. I can hear it go on when I turn the key but I'm getting nothing at the rail. I have rechecked connections and dropped the tank again once. I did have about .5 gallon to a gallon in there. Should I try to put more gas in maybe the pump needs some more?

Yes, put in a couple gallons of gas and try again.

 

jeep fuel pumps are usually better built, but fuel pumps cool themselves in the gas in the tank, some cars will burn a fuel pump if you even let the gas level go below them... (Stupid design huh? Using gas as a coolant?) but full that thing up maybe the line is full of air? Don't burn out your new pump by running it without gas surrounding it(different from running it completely dry.
