new front tow hooks

Default new front tow hooks

so i sold the 9000lb ramsey winch on the front of my cherokee (700 dollar winch 4 years old) sold it for a 1000 couldnt resist... but i got some new front tow points and only paid 13 bucks at homedepot for both got to test them out yesterday and worked like a charm gets some pics up later!

Not me, I'm curious as to how he attaches them!!! Gonna just rip out of the unibody if not well reinforced.

I am with blue on this one..THere is a reason why 4x4 shops charge so much it's the reinforcement and strength of the hooks..can't imagine mounting some home depot hooks on that unibody frame ouch..

One of the guys here made some hooks that came off a bus in the JY work but he has two plates that run over a foot long on the side of his unibody and are through bolted in 7 places per side IIRC. The hooks are welded and bolted to that plate and through the frame rail. I have pulled him up and out of the pit with those a time or two but I saw them before I hooked my winch to him.

i already had the reinforcment on the frame from when i had the winch.. all i did was atach them to the big bulky bumper that was already reinforced

Some ppl worry about them coming free and becoming a projectile like a cannon ball or something. That's why ppl were concerned and the quality of Home Depot stuff.

they say to hold 6000lbs and pulled my cherokee from mud above the tires completly buried with ease
