Hi all. I'm new to the Cherokee forum.
I own two XJs an 85 and a 89 and one 75 Grand Cherokee. My problem is with the 89 Larado.

About one month ago, I had an major electrical failure in my dash. The only thing that works is the tach and oil pressure gauge and the powered seat.
No other gauges, dash lights,nothing else inside the cab. The electrical door locks and windows are also effected.

I pulled the dash out cleaned all contact points and made sure everything was grounded that should be.

There wasn't any smell that you would associate with hot or burning wires.
All of the exterior lights work fine. Headlights, breaks,turn single are operational.

I've traced what I could of the harness and can't find anything obviously wrong. I've replaced all of the fuses and relays just to be sure. No help there.

Any ideas on what I might check? Would it help if I went to my local Jeep salvage yard and just replace the entire harness?

 

Is there power at the fuses for the items that don't work?

 

Duh, wouldn't you know, I didn't check for power I just replaced all the fuses. I will check for power and let you know.
