Default New fan clutch fix AC???

So my AC has been running cold for about 15 min then goes warm. My stock fan clutch had 256k miles so was time for a upgrade. The old one never roared like it should but the new one sounds nice and healthy. But since the clutch was installed I have had my AC on for over a hour for multiple days now and is freezing cold. Any ideas?..could the fan clutch effect the temp of the AC?

I would also like to know. My shroud broke so i took it off. Now it feels like the a/c is a lot warmer.

Well if you don't have a fan shroud it will blow hotter. The same thing happened to mine. I put the fan shroud on and the ac blows cold!

Yes. Your old clutch prolly wasn't engaging completely. Thus, your fan wasn't spinning as fast not pulling as much air across your condensor. I could be wrong but logically that is what I can come up with. Anyone else want to chime in?

The purpose of the fan shroud to create a "Vortex" so that your fan pulls more air. If you take your shroud out you will not pull as much air and you literally rob air from your condensor. Since you reduced air to your condensor your heat exchange to change your freon into a liquid again is not going to happen as fast thus not letting enough freon to go through your expansion valve to get the desired A/C temp you want.

Are you serious? Please read online how a car works instead of cluttering this site up with more of these kinds of questions. Of course your a/c is going to be cooler if you put a new fan clutch in your jeep. The reason is because your pulling more air over the condenser( The Big thing in front of your radiator...)

While I HATE reading SO Many of the "I'm over heating" threads, Some people have no clue how a motor works... I say lets be nice and not even talk to them

Hey mods, Could you guys/gals take ALL of the running hot/cooling system threads and make One BIG thread. and then all new related question in there?

I just asked a simple question...I just recently did a cam and lifter change on my jeep so I'm no novice but far from a expert. I just wanted some insight on the subject.

Sflanny78 you sir are correct. Should not have to be talked down to based on a uncertain question
