Default new exhuast, strange smell

Well i just installed a new exhuast, a new muffler and tailpipe, I installed a flowmaster super 44 and a 2.5" tailpipe, when i stop and rev the engine, some strange smell fills inside my rig could it just be stuff burning off from the new muffler and tailpipe and will go away onces its fully burned off?

More than likely just burning stuff off. If it smells like a rotten egg it's your converter, also common if it's new.

I would say that is it....but you should make sure nothing is laying against the exhaust system or to close to it.

I just replaced my cat and muffler and have the same thing. look under the car and see if you see anything. I could see stuff burning off the muffler itslef (saw smoke) and off the cat. I think there was a sticker on it and maybe some other residue, etc. I'm just going to wait a little bit, I'm sure it will go away... but if it's filling the cab, make sure you don't have an exhaust leak.
