Coolers are very good things, I would put one on if you plan on doing any really demanding driving.

Coolers are always a welcome addition for any automatic but the AW4 responds very well to cooler trans temps.

Here's a funny little fact... the AW-4 is a Toyota transmission....

But its a good stout tranny that will take the abuse of the 35's. You just need to keep the fluid changed and keep her cool. An external tranny cooler will go a LONG way to helping you.

Thanks whowey I forgot to mention that Toyota was the manufacturer of record for the AW4. They do indeed make a stout tranny which can go for hundreds of thousands of miles without a problem if kept cool and fresh fluids every so often.

one more quistion my truck has the 6.5 inch rustys lift on it and 35s ,but I would like to get 38 x 12.5 pro comp xterrans. becuse that is what was on my yota and I loved them any way how much tire do you think will fit with 6 inches of lift the front fenders are cut out all ready and it seems like there is plenty of room for 38s.

They will fit if you cut enough and use bump stops!
