Just ordered a new Dynomax cat back exhaust kit. Not to sure if it will fit with ease tho. might need to hit up the dealer with connecting it to the cat, i heard it can be tough. Ill post pictures and the installation process once its done....if i can get it done.

okcjeeper told me about summitracing.com. paid about $50 cheaper than quadratec and only $11 for shipping. Its a steel system so ill probably paint with with rustoleum to prevent rust.

Started by removing the old U-Bolts, which broke right off because of the rust damage, then removed the muffler and exhaust, i had to use a cutting wheel to remove the pipe between the cat from the muffler, then just slipped off the rubber mounts from their hooks on the back of the exhaust.

I inserted the new DynoMax muffler, it fit around the stock pipe without any problems

This is the finished product. The whole installation only took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was removing the old muffler because of all the rust. It didn't require any further modification or anything, i was very happy. When idling, it gives a slightly lower rumble than stock, but you can really hear the new sound at higher rpm's. Next on my list will be a performance cat.

Only suggestion I might have is to at least have it tack welded together at your first chance. Because the trails will yank on those u-bolts, qand you will be trying to mput it back together on the trail somewhere. Always happens at a bad time/place.
i hope you erased those plans of painting it. it will just burn off leaving a trail of noxious smoke and fumes behind you wherever you go (especially off the cat).
a good tip is to turn the exhaust clamps sideways so the threaded ends arent pointing down getting hung up on stuff

You might have some luck with high temp paint on the tailpipe section but everything else will burn off. You can only use that for the tailpipe section if you are insistent on trying it. The other parts of the exhaust get way too hot.

wait a minute, you can put an exhaust like that on by yourself? what kind of tools do you need? would it be possible for me to install a super 44 on mine by myself? (just the muffler)

it only took me about 30 minutes for that whole system....i used a cutting wheel to make removing the muffler easier....i used a screwdriver and some lube to slip the mount off of the rubber holder and then i believe it was a 15mm socket for the other 2 u-bolts....anyone could do it, you shouldn't have a problem
