The dynomax kit just slips into place and uses ubolt joints to clamp down the joints at the cat, muffler and tailpipe..So no welding and air tools are very nice..

yeah dabeast have you not seen that kit before? They are sold as a no weld required kit. I would weld it anyway and dump the u bolts b/c they hang up on stuff.

Glad I found this thread and thanks for the pics, fdulax13! You sold me on the dynomax kit and I couldn't beat summitracing's price of $155 shipped. Quadratec wanted $245 shipped for the exact same kit Mine's on its way...

I inserted the new DynoMax muffler, it fit around the stock pipe without any problems

This is the finished product. The whole installation only took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was removing the old muffler because of all the rust. It didn't require any further modification or anything, i was very happy. When idling, it gives a slightly lower rumble than stock, but you can really hear the new sound at higher rpm's. Next on my list will be a performance cat.

Hey man,
Where did you find your tail light guards. I've looked forever but can't locate any.

Thanks
