Default New "89 Laredo,a fe Q's???

Here's a pic of the "89 i just got for $500-!It's ROT FREE from Oregon. It has aal's in the rear and spacers in the front w/30's.(factory rear tire carrier!)It has TJ Canyon wheels, can i run 31x10.50's on these wheels? Also, down the road i'd like to put a NP231 t-case in it.Are they a direct bolt in from the 242?

looking at the clearance, i would say you could easily fit 31's, and yes, they will mount on those rims. as far as the t-case, i am fairly sure that they bolt up the same, just 231 has only part time 4x4... that being said, why would you want to get rid of the 242??? I wish mine had it instead of the 231 but that may just be my opinion

the full time is nice in the snow, but the 242 is a weaker t-case than the 231. 242 is ok for dd/weekend warrior if your doin serious wheelin id go to the 231!

Ummmmm, no.
The second number on New Process cases refers to the strength.
In stock form, the 242 is stronger then the 231.
Where the 231 has an advantage is in aftermarket support and upgrades.
